Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Delhi - Amritsar (by train)

    A Yatra representative will meet you at a location convenient to you in Delhi early morning and transfer you in an air-conditioned vehicle to the railway station to board the Express Train to Amritsar. On arrival in Amritsar, you will be taken to your pre-booked hotel for your overnight stay. In the afternoon, proceed to the Wagah Border (less than 30 kilometers from the city) between India and Pakistan, in an air-conditioned vehicle. An English-speaking guide will accompany you on all sightseeing tours mentioned in the itinerary. At Wagah Border, witness the ceremonial changing of guard, the march-past followed by the singing of national anthem and other patriotic songs. Solders parading in full swing and the sight of India-Pakistan border from such close quarters will evoke a sense of nostalgia. After a trip down memory lanes, return to your hotel and spend the night.

  • Day 2 : Amritsar

    After a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, proceed on a sightseeing tour of Amritsar. Visit the world-famous Golden Temple located in the heart of the city, Jalianwallah Bagh, a memorial to commemorate the martyrs of the 1919 massacre; the Durgiana Mandir, dedicated to the Hindu goddess Durga and Baba Atal Rai Tower. After exploring the historical landmarks of Amritsar, return to your hotel and spend the night.

  • Day 3 : Amritsar - Delhi (by train)

    After breakfast, you will be transferred to the railway station to board an Express Train back to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, you will be taken to a pre-booked hotel for your overnight stay. You are at leisure for the rest of the day to explore the historical and sightseeing attractions of India’s capital city on your own.

  • Day 4 : Departure from Delhi

    After breakfast, you will be dropped at the international airport on any point convenient to you in Delhi for your onward journey.
